Overview
I updated a legacy current transformer and its enclosure by rebuilding the full assembly in SolidWorks using historical drawings as a reference. The goal was to modernize the model while preserving existing interfaces and fit requirements.
Design and Modelling
The complete assembly was remodelled in SolidWorks, with individual components updated for clarity, consistency, and accurate representation of the physical hardware. Legacy drawings were interpreted and translated into a clean, fully constrained 3D model suitable for downstream use.
Maintenance Animation
A dynamic motion study animation was created in SolidWorks to demonstrate step-by-step component removal and replacement. The animation was developed as a visual aid for maintenance crews, helping standardize servicing procedures and reduce future downtime.
